The Fabulous Fab Five

Fri Jul 25, 2008 at 12:22:23 PM

For those interested in a sneak peek at the made-for-Lifetime movie The Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal, which premieres August 2 at 8 p.m., the cable outlet's posted a few short behind-the-scenes videos over here. But, by day's end, Unfair Park will host some exclusive footage from the film based on the story about McKinney North High School's "Mean Girls," as Newsweek noted in January 2007 of the cheerleaders who menaced the hallways. Get your pom-poms ready. --Robert Wilonsky

Yeah, Yeah, Girls are bitches to each other, no movie will ever get it like Tina Fey's...GET OVER IT!

Sure this movie isn't about some rather dated scandal at TJ involving an ex-rah rah blogger and some misplaced "spirit fingers" back in the day that prompted a mondo girl fight?

Ah, if only. "Spirit Fingers." Finally, my band has a name. We already have the polyester pants and pom-poms.

Spirit Fingers of Fury, would be better, no?

I'm glad they made this movie. Mckinney should be ashamed... but it's just another story to show how girls are bitches to each other... Even the adult ones.

a Mckinney resident. says:

This movie is stupid, having lived in mckinney and many other cities in many other states, I know that where ever there are sports or anything else there is a problem of students getting priviledges. Eathan you should be ashamed because you are so ignorant. This is not a Texas thing or a McKinney thing, this is a nationwide problem, i mean look at the number of athletes sliding by with kinesciology majors! hello.

Jake007 says:

I am a McKinney resident who has lived here all my life, and gone to school here.
Bullying and prejudice has gone on in McKinney schools for years, as well as schools across the nation and I'm glad this movie was made.
For one, it shows these girls how stupid they looked and shows all who defended their actions, including their stupid ass parents...that they were all in the wrong.
I saw this movie, and I was impressed by the accuracy.
My little sister went to school with these girls, and they were beyond bitchy, but rather evil.
For those of you saying...oh get over it!...it happens....how would you like to be a student going to school every day in fear of being tormented, and pushed around just cause your bullies mother is of high authority and the superintendant even licks her ass?
Till you have gone through it, or have had a child of your own go through it, then you should not be so stupid as to open your mouth.
Those of us who know what we're talking about, and actually have a clue should only be allowed to speak...the rest of you just need to keep your mouths shut and go play with a crossword puzzle.
