Begin panicking ... now. Because, according to the City of Dallas' Web site:

Dallas County announces West Nile Virus found in Highland Park: The City will increase collections and urges residents to take precautions
Don't worry, though. Mosquitoes are only .... Man's Deadliest Foe! --Robert Wilonsky

warden62 says:

Perhaps HP can start charging tolls for mosquitoes wanting to pass through that fair city. That'll teach 'em.

Jean Val Jean says:

Stupid bloodsuckers!
Don't they know not to trespass into the sacred territory that is HP? How dare they intrude without paying a toll! Just who do they think they are, going into the bubble willy-nilly!?

And now the mosquitoes are doing it too!

And I always thought that giant sucking noise I heard from HP was the sound of their Escalades and Hummers gargling down barrels of oil.

It's the economy causing HP to go white trash all those old tires and green above ground swimming pools. What's next low Taks scores?

Brad says:

The media has done an outstanding job of sensationalizing the effects of West Nile Virus. Here are some FACTS...

Less than one percent of those infected with WNv will develop severe illness, according to the Centers for Disease Control. The vast majority of people (about 80%) who become infected with WNv will show no symptoms and never become sick. Some 20% may experience mild flu-like symptoms within 3 - 15 days.

Brad we know all the facts, it's just fun to poke sticks at HP.

Potassium Man says:

What can be said? Brad probably drives an Escalade and has a Hummer parked In HP, but has to point out that the HPers aren't panicking.. No..They have oodles of dough to pay for the best doctors money can buy anyway. So what if a few thousand die outside of HP.. It's only 20% that will even get sick. Maybe 1% will die. Let's see...If Dallas and surrounding areas and counties have say 6 million people who even go outside near a mosquito only maybe 60,000 have the potential to die.. But on the other hand even HPers are going to die too and the good news for the rest of us? They can't take one single dime with them.
I can just hear the words now... "I don't drive an Escalade or own a Hummer and only live near HP...." c'mon Brad..we're waiting..
