About That Deep Ellum Town Hall Meeting: Love It Live!

Breaking news today, just as the mayor's Deep Ellum Town Hall Meeting is about to get underway at the Sons of Hermann Hall: Merit Drive-based Beck Ventures has done gone and bought up some 10 acres worth of property in Deep Ellum. Which means, what, Deep Ellum's about to go the way of Beck's Trophy Club? That'd be something. Course, Beck's also got a bank in the portfolio. Or, you know, you could always fall into The Gap.

No doubt, the subject of Beck's plans for Deep Ellum -- which are, for the moment, both hush and hush -- will come up during the town hall meeting. For those unable to attend, well, we've got the live streaming video after the jump, thanks to Cindy Chaffin. The show's begun, with Spector 45's Frankie Campagna already on the stage and underway. A note: The sound'll fare much better than the video, which will look at times like a slide show, so be patient. Heading down there now; Merten's already in attendance, as word is Angela Hunt may show. --Robert Wilonsky

After a glimpse of the "Frontburner" trio of interns and your comments about the "Unfair Park" interns tied up -- well, the mind boggles on a lazy, hazy Friday afternoon.
