Breaking news today, just as the mayor's Deep Ellum Town Hall Meeting is about to get underway at the Sons of Hermann Hall: Merit Drive-based Beck Ventures has done gone and bought up some 10 acres worth of property in Deep Ellum. Which means, what, Deep Ellum's about to go the way of Beck's Trophy Club? That'd be something. Course, Beck's also got a bank in the portfolio. Or, you know, you could always fall into The Gap.
No doubt, the subject of Beck's plans for Deep Ellum -- which are, for the moment, both hush and hush -- will come up during the town hall meeting.
