FLDS Mothers Respond to State's Response in Texas Supreme Court

Categories: News
The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints now has a Web site documenting children being taken from their mothers.

Breaking news: Unfair Park just received from the Texas Supreme Court the response filed moments ago by attorneys representing some of the FLDS mothers who want their children returned by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. It says, toward the end: "Even if the Department’s professed confusion has any credence at all, it certainly cannot justify failure to return all the children. If there are particular concerns about any particular child (of which there is no indication in the record), that would be a matter for the trial court to address as part of its continuing jurisdiction over the cases and parties."

Also, noted by the Texas Supreme Court public information officer who shot us the response: "The Court is requesting the trial record from the Third Court of Appeals. That's an indication that it plans to work over the weekend." --Robert Wilonsky
