This is the same church ministry zealots that all but asked me to leave on the evidence of a rumor about an arrest.I hope the drug dealin' minister,now saved, is reading so he can get the drift.I'm sure they'll be taking Barron's name off of every bulletin, church office door,web site and classroom.Instead of trying to do God's work in trying to reach him, a man with a problem, and offer him brotherly love , they will distance themselves so far from him that you'll never know he was ever there,and Joe,don't come looking for your last paycheck.It's already in the mail with your termination letter with another letter on the way to have your minister's license revoked. You'll find God is much more forgiving that this church and its ministers. You just won't be good for business.

This isn't the first time that a Prestonwood Baptist minister has disappeared down the PBC memory hole. Does anyone remember Dr. Billy Weber, the PBC pastor who built up Prestonwood into one of the nation's first mega-churches in the late 1980s? He was caught having adulterous affairs with several different women in the church at the same time. There is no mention of him on the church's website either. No surprise, though, Christians have long been masters at revising and whitewashing their own histories.

Bible Girl would have blamed this on the sluttiness of the 13 year old girl.

As I could have predicted the "real" Christians have now weighed in, with lots of hysterical spew, typed in all caps in case we can't figure out that they are upset.

Here's a news flash for you guys. There are now approximately 1000 denominations, each of them claiming to have the proper kind of church and the appropriate understanding of "God's Word". These groups vary from mega-churches to small gatherings that meet in homes and store-fronts. Rich, poor, all claiming to know the "truth". All sifting through the remnants of a dreary Bronze Age mythology and arguing with each other over its meaning, while the world moves past them, finding cures for diseases, finding ways to feed more people, building bridges between cultures, while you guys sit in your sandbox screaming at each other over which of your little pails and shovels Jesus would approve of. Your time has come and gone. Your leader himself said to judge the tree by the fruit it bears. Both you and this sad pervert are the fruit that the tree of fundamental Bible belief has borne. The problem the, is the tree. The teachings of your savior collapse under their own weight. That's because he's been dead and buried 2000 years, if he ever existed at all. I knew Billy Weber well. I was priviledged to share some of lifes greatest moments with him. I choose to remember him when he was at his best.At his best there were few who were better. Very few.

You all seem to think that you know so much about what happens at PBC. Maybe you should wake up before noon on Sunday and come and actually see what the truth is about spiritual leaders of our communities. You can't judge a body of people based on a couple of bad one's. Someday judgement will come and it is up to God to punish the hypocrits not you or me. I hope that Christ somehow will find his way into your lost souls.
