From The New York Times this morning comes this proclamation: "Dallas Is Slow to Adjust to Kidd in Fast-Paced West." As evidenced, natch, by the team's 5-5 record since Jason Kidd moved back to Dallas and his inability to yet achieve that elusive triple-double as a Maverick. Says Dirk Nowitzki of the adjustments to having Kidd calling the shots on the court: “We ran like a simple play, and usually the ball doesn’t come get me until later. So I just trotted through the play and I looked to the ball, and it was already right there in my face.” Then again, Dirk's numbers are way, way up with Kidd. --Robert Wilonsky

Uh..... 108-79 slamming of the New York Nicks? Do we really care what New York papers have to say about this regions' sports teams? Or even the Western Conference for that matter?
