• If anyone cares, those two rusty drums are full of snake oil. Bubba wouldn't travel anywhere without them...

• Bill pulled the same pickup truck trick in Victoria and probably every other stop that they bill as "grassroots" to make them more comfortable with the incredibly low turnout. Bill is trying to show how really down-to-earth he is. If getting blown in the Oval Office makes you a man of the people, I'll vote for the other guy.

• Being there live, I found it a very heartwarming and personal event, with a minimum of hassle. It was very grassroots, whether intentional or not, the staff was friendly (except to the press, it appears, which was stupid), plus free food and t-shirts! Bottom line, the Clinton campaign doesn't appear to have a lot of money left, but they do have heart, and they're making the best of it. Ya'll have fun fighting for your rafter seats in Fort Worth - you couldn't pay me to show up at that event and not because I don't like the guy, who I'll most likely be voting for in November anyway. And I must add, do we really deem the economy to be a rudderless raft, incapable of direction by the government? If so, why the hell are you voting for anybody, since it really doesn't matter who's in charge. Sorry Wilonsky, I'm ornery again.
