Cowboys Say "No" To Yoko Romo?

By Robert Wilonsky, Wednesday, Dec. 19 2007 @ 10:00AM

Bill Zwecker, gossip columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, writes this morning that he has it on good authority that Dallas Cowboys bigwigs are none to happy with Tony Romo bringing his girlfriend to games -- to the point where they've asked him to, ya know, tone it down. As in:

According to a good Big D source, Romo has been told to put his romantic life on the back burner at this critical juncture near the end of the regular NFL season. I also understand that at least one team official has suggested to Simpson that it would ''be in Tony's best interest,'' if the couple cooled it for a few weeks.
To which Joe Simpson said something like, Yeah, right. "Only, uh, in a bit more colorful language," Zwecker insists. --Robert Wilonsky

No Pink Jerseys! says:

Uh-oh. The Snooze's Cowboys blog has some interesting comments from T.O. regarding little miss pink jersey.

"Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite in this locker room or in Texas Stadium," T.O. said. "I think with everything that has happened, and obviously the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel like she's probably taking his focus away.

"Other than that, she was at the top of my list until last week."

Romo didn't make his usual Wednesday appearance in the locker room, so we didn't have a chance to get his reply to T.O.'s concern about Ms. Simpson. And T.O. isn't done dealing with her, either.

"I've got a message for her when we make the playoffs," T.O. said. "Just stay tuned."

Seykick says:

from: http://www.dallascowboys.com/news.cfm?contentType=5&id=EAEC8007-AC56-053B-6591B547CD37FB6E

"Josh Morgan, Tyler, Texas: All right, just like I said yesterday, ESPN is blaming Tony Romo's bad performance on the distraction of Jessica Simpson. I also saw Jessica sitting in a box behind my seat at the Jets and Packers games on Thanksgiving and the Thursday after. Of course the cameras didn't spot her in those games when Romo played well.

"Mickey: Thank you. My Texas Stadium sources tell me you are exactly right, but because no cameras caught her at those two games then it didn't happen. What's that saying about if a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it fall, did it really fall? How utterly lame, childish and frankly, National Enquirer irresponsible is all this? Hey, if nothing else, I hear the remainder of the pink No. 9 jerseys sold out in a day."

Also: TO was obviously joking.

I can't believe this is getting so much attention, and not even in truth. The media is so stupid.
