Happy (Katy and Trinity Strand) Trails

Categories: News

Thanks to some e-mail server issues on our end, we missed receiving the invite to this morning's Mayor Tom-led unveiling of a parcel of land that will connect the Katy Trail with the Trinity Strand Trail. Turns out, according to our invite, that Cienda Partners -- which owns, among other things, the so-called "Goat Hill Property" on Harry Hines Boulevard where Baby Doe's Matchless Mine was once perched -- donated the land, with Russell Budd, Barry Hancock, Philip Wise and their respective wives kicking in the rest. Says our invite, the parcel's worth some $2 million. Click here for the .PDF map detailing the new trails connector. --Robert Wilonsky
