At least, that's how Fortune figures it in a lengthy profile of Cuban tied, course, to his Dancing With the Stars appearance that keeps on keepin' on, at least for one more week. Writes Devin Leonard about the Dallas Mavericks owner's reasons for mamboing on national television: "He wants to be famous and influential, much as he might argue otherwise." That's ... stunning.
But the big revelation: After the Mavs were bounced from the NBA Finals by the Miami Heat, Cuban didn't leave the house for three weeks. And, "Cuban also came close to putting the Mavs up for sale." Really? Had no idea. --Robert Wilonsky
