Lots Cooking on the Kettle This Weekend
Do you wanna see 20 women go hard for eight straight hours this weekend? Hells yes, you do. And your buddy Frank Campagna over at the Kettle Art Gallery in Deep Ellum has hooked it all up for you.
From 2 to 10 p.m. tomorrow -- and later, if the freaking parking lot Campagna is leasing today comes through -- Kettle will host an all-female show called Another Little Piece of My Art featuring (deep breath): Debra Gloria, Andrea Rogers, Michelle Proksell, Autumn Beach, Danielle Barry, Paige Moore, Crimson Allen, Aditit Samarath, Suza Canon, Lorene Herrera, Courtney Heintz, Deborah Huber, Theresa Mangum, Lisa Lindholm, Alison Welsh, Judith Lea Perkins, Erica Felicella, Havi Frost, Marie Sena and Cathey Miller.
The marathon show is curated by local photographer Havi Frost, who was recently interviewed on the excellent "other" blog, Sub-Rosa. She had this to say about the show: "A lot of them have never done a show at the Kettle. I can’t wait to see what everyone brings. It’s always really exciting, for me, to watch all the new art come in the gallery. Especially when I can get other people hang it all up for me." --Andrea Grimes
