Chances are you’re on the Internet right now. You’re one of those consumers who last year contributed to $80 billion in online commerce. (Which doesn't include, ya know, porn.) And, most of all, you’re hungry. Welcome to Resercom. You’ll actually never eat at the Irving-based company, but you’ll likely use its services if you’re part of the self-serve generation that wants its food fast, hot and delivered to the door with nothing more than a couple of computer clicks.
The company, founded in 2005, is starting to generate a buzz as it helps restaurants ease into the age of convenience. “The restaurant industry is one of the last to reap the advantages of e-commerce and online ordering,” says Resercom COO Chris Cash. “There is a demographic that expects to place an order online for anything they want. In this fast-paced world, people will do anything differently if it will save them 10 minutes.”
Resercom has signed up places like Metro Grill, Tio’s Tortas and Ten Sports Grille, with Jake’s Hamburgers, J Pepe’s and Prego’s Pasta House coming online later this month. Soon your keyboard will be as revolutionary as the drive-thru lanes of the ‘70s. Only better for the environment. --Richie Whitt
