And Another Band Gets Its Van Stolen...

• Good News, I just picked up my van at the impound lot. It was so empty even the trash was cleaned out... Just dropped it off for tire, window and other small repair stuff but overall that's a huge relief. Of course it cost over two hundred dollars and all day to do this before repairs but we're set and ready to Roll anyway. As far as the Rock end of things, artist Richard Ross, has donated a guitar towards my cause and am working deals like crazy w/ Guitar Center w/ smaller trade in stuff for a new amp. Had to postpone a couple of this weeks dates but am trying like hell to tie them onto the end of the tour. Everything is hectic but all the love and support of our community is really appreciated. Our shows at Darkside Lounge and Bar of Soap will go on as planned and the rest of the schedule from here to Austin, San Antonio, Baton Rouge and shows N. Carolina / S. Carolina (w/ the Koffin Kats)and many points in between are secure. Thanks Robert, Unfair Park and the City of Dallas! A hard lesson has been learned.

• yeah, it doesn't surprise me about the dpd. when someone kicked our back door in and made off with thousands of dollars of stuff and my feeling of security it took over an hour for the police to show up. i think i would have been better off with barney fife. they contaminated the crime scene (touching evidence with their hands), were rude and basically told us to not hold our breath. one lied to me to my face about a conversation we'd have 2 minutes earlier! we had a description, plates on a vehicle, fingerprints all over our house, and a weapon left behind by the theives. with all of this, it took a detective almost a week to get back with us. when he did, he made almost no attempts to follow through. after many frustrating unreturned phone calls we gave up. and i gave up on the police being there for any other reason than to write a speeding ticket from time to time. dallas is a city with a serious crime problem and an even bigger police problem.

• Another tragic tale of theft of livelihood on the streets of Dallas. And not to make light of the situation, but I can understand if a trailer with all the gear gets stolen because who's going to lug all that stuff inside, but keeping an amp and guitar in the van out on the street overnight . . . i think i would be tempted to lug it in at night.

• "my van was parked on Prairie Street near Ross and Fitzhugh." And we are surprised it got stolen? Well, sorrry about your gear, I hope you get it all back.

• I hope they had insurance?

• I'm so sorry. Frankie is a good guy. I loved seeing him play at dada a week ago. I hope people can come up with some gear or help you out. You sure don't deserve this crap.
