Only a few weeks into her Anchorwoman gig in Tyler, and already everyone's giving Lauren Jones a hard time.

A few media tid-bytes this a.m.:

ESPN is launching ESPN Deportes Radio, an all-Spanish-language radio network making its bow in three hot spots: Dallas, Knoxville and New Jersey. Says here that locally the station can be heard on the KNIT-AM (1480), which was, till yesterday, an all-gospel station. (And longtime locals will, of course, recognize it as the former frequency of influential stations KGKO and KBOX.) Also, the story notes that "the Dallas affiliate will be managed and operated by ESPN, making it the first Spanish-language outlet to be fully managed by the company."

That did not last long: Says here that after three whopping months on the job, Wesley A. Jackson is abandoning his post as General Manager and President of Belo Interactive Media. Jackson, a 7-year Belo vet who began as an advertising sales veep, says he leaving the Death Star so he can "relocate closer to family in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.'

And in case you missed it a few days back, Good Morning America does not approve of the forthcoming Fox series Anchorwoman, in which swimsuit model Lauren Jones is learning how to read on the air in Tyler. Here's the video, complete with GMA's Robin Roberts hysterically overwrought introduction. C'mon, Robin, you started out as an athlete, ya know? Isn't "WWE Diva," like, close enough? --Robert Wilonsky
