Laurie David and Sheryl Crow want to remind you, and the rest of The Huffington Post's readers, that they're kicking off their Stop Global Warming College Tour tonight at 8 on the SMU campus. And at this very moment, I can hear every gas-guzzling, Exxon-lovin', non-believing crank clucking over the following line from Sheryl Crow:
I personally cannot wait to experience Laurie's first bus ride which will begin at the airport. Suffice it to say, Hud (Chris Hudson, our tour manager) has already arranged to have the rose chilled and waiting.
And this, from Laurie David:
I personally cannot wait to see Sheryl's reaction when she finds out I'm tone deaf and want to sing back up for her!
And this, from both of them:
Typical girls -- we both just exchanged jewelry gifts... reminders for us when we start to get cranky. (LD -- I gave Sheryl a silver snowflake... just one symbol of what is at stake.) (SC -- I gave Laurie a gold charm with green emeralds spelling...you guessed it -- green.)
Hey, all they wanna do is have some fun, 'K, people? Of course, all us 'round here can't afford a Prius, much less the green emeralds...or a bottle of rose, come to think of it. Then again, yech. --Robert Wilonsky
