• Kyle, Volunteer for Preservation Dallas whenever you have a chance. They are working on surveying every Dallas neighborhood inside the loop to identify every building, home, etc. that resides in the area. The idea is to prevent the whole Proctor Hall debacle and possibly (if the company orders a demolition permit) the Hard Rock Cafe from being torn down by out of town investors. If we know what is there, we can work as a city to preserve it (Landmark, National Register, etc.); downside is getting the owner's support - but I won't go into that. • You must get Dallas Rediscovered. However, let me warn you that every time you drive down Gaston, Live Oak or Ross, you will be upset at what was destroyed.
