Crazy About Dallas!

Categories: Politics

We gets plenty of...uh...interesting mail at Unfair Park. Like the missive we got this week from Richard "Richie" Sheridan, who is indeed among the flock that's filed to be Your Next Mayor. Sheridan sent us an open letter to Mayor Laura Miller concerning her recent appearance on KERA-TV's Think, in which, Sheridan says, Miller claimed among her primary successes the ditching of the Wright Amendment and passing the smoking ordinance in Dallas restaurants.

Of the latter, Sheridan writes, "It is true that BOTH smoking and the Gay Lifestyle lead to disease and death to some participants, and yet you persecute the former, and promote the latter?" Is that a question? Anyway, Sheridan also writes to Mayor Laura: "You have brought the Funk on Dallas." Oddly, I believe that's also going to be Darrell Jordan's campaign slogan. There's plenty more, but we won't bore you. We just wanted to run Sheridan's business card, copies of which we've mysteriously found strewn about the offices of Unfair Park -- even in the elevators. Promises, promises... --Robert Wilonsky
