Beverly Hills Cops Ready to Break Lane Garrison
A couple of months back, Prison Break co-star and Dallas native Lane Garrison crashed his Land Rover into a tree in Beverly Hills, killing a 17-year-old boy sitting in the back seat and injuring two 15-year-olds girls also in the car. Haven't heard much about the 26-year-old's predicament since then -- unless you read TMZ.com, which has documented his every move and church-pew tear drop since the fatal crash.
Well, this morning, some real news at last: The Associated Press is reporting that Beverly Hills Police Chief David L. Snowden wants Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office prosecutors to charge TV's "Tweener" with felony gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Police are also saying Garrison had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 percent or more -- twice the legal limit allowed in California.
Garrison's attorney, Harland Braun, takes issue with Snowden's actually saying these things out loud, especially since charges haven't been filed. "A totally irresponsible thing," Braun said. We assume he was talking about Snowden, but we're not completely sure. --Robert Wilonsky
