Allen Brothers' Rick Hamilton was holding court at Mercury Grill last night over some devilishly decadent prime flesh (not A. Jolie, but the filet, New York strip, Cowboy ribeye kind). Hamilton waxed poet-like on his company's retail link-up with Sigel's Fine Wines & Great Spirits. Seems Sigel's is the only retailer in the nation that will sell Allen Brothers lush prime steaks, which are mostly snapped up by restaurants such as Morton's, Abacus, Del Frisco's,and Al Biernat's, plus consumers who have the rosy steer muscle cuts shipped to their door after viewing the catalog centerfolds.

You'll be to get the Allen loot when Sigel's Vin Classic Wines opens in The Shops at Legacy around Thanksgiving (beef ribs make great wishbones), in Dallas at Fitzhugh and Cole when the 14,000-square foot mega-wine and spirits terminal dubbed Sigel's Elite opens before Christmas, and, later, at Segal's Addison and Quadrangle locations. Dry-aged prime will be available at Sigel's by Christmas. Watch for Kobe burgers too. Note: it is a felony punishable by public humiliation to cook a prime steak beyond medium rare. --Mark Stuertz
