Bits and Class
If you, like Andrea Grimes, would rather appear in the pages of FHM than Playboy--better content, insists the Girl on Top--then free your schedule on Friday. The laddie mag'll be at the W on October 27 looking for ladies to feature in the paper and digital versions of FHM, which is the classy intellectual's Maxim (or is it the other way around--or does it matter?). And they're literally taking over the joint: From 7 to 9 p.m., FHM will be lining up the 18- to 21-year-old ladies in the downstairs Living Room Bar. After that, the legal-drinking-age crowd will move upstairs to Ghostbar, where they'll be waited on by women who aspire to be featured in the pages of The Economist.
The event will by Carlee Ranger, who's touted as "FHM's #1 Digital Darling," which means there's just one more dream of mine dashed. Oh, and don't forget: Playboy is scouting for its own talent today and tomorrow at SMU, which explains why Schutze isn't around the office today. --Robert Wilonsky
