Doyle on the Brain

Categories: Cover Story

Looks like Doyle Davidson read about himself in the Dallas Observer, according to the latest of his "Messages to Lisa," which was posted yesterday. You might also note that he confuses God and himself in his quotation of Scripture--something that happens fairly frequently in his messages, at least in the ones Glenna Whitley heard while attending his church services and watching them on TV.

You know, I happened to listen in on Glenna's interview with Davidson, and I was struck by how he expressed little or no concern for the fate of Dena Schlosser, his former church member, and the 11-month-old daughter she killed. But there sure was a lot of talk about what a great life Doyle Davidson has had (and yes, he did occasionally refer to himself in the third person), how God has done amazing things in his life and how God will use this news coverage to project him onto a bigger stage.

Hey, nothing like keeping the ol' priorities straight. --Julie Lyons
