Is that he doesn't agree with other journalists/commentators? that's stupid. i love richie. sometimes he says thing that cause my mouth to drop, but that's a good thing. Even I'm tiring of ratings debate. Bottom line, I think I can speak for most of us when I say we all just wanted a quality alternative to the Hardline when they get lazy, boring, or complacent. Yesterday was a damn fine example. As annoying as Corby can be, HL was awful without him. Plus their audio quality from the remote sucked. And you know the 5:15 segment is important and a giant grab bag for the HL, it either is amazing or it sucks. But you roll with a 5:15 calls segment every day now? I don't care what Queefer McDingus from Midlothian thinks. Is that giveup or just being stupid? Throw your best stuff out there from 5-6, not calls. There are plenty of times I'm itching to get away from some Corby BS or having to hear Galloway pat himself on the shoulder.

Plus you may want to rethink some of your preferences and presentation if you're going to claim you don't respect anyone who likes wrestling. You're not exactly coming across more sophisticated in a lot of categories, but I think that was Badass Radio Richie at work there. And what's it going to take for Fan remotes to not sound like you're linked back to the station from a cell phone on speaker mode? See, I listen on occasion.

I like Richie's blog. Read it and comment on it all the time. I even embrace my RAGE from 2PM to 7PM on weekdays. If I didn't have to deal with my failing business and my skanky wife all the time, I would love to hang out with Richie. I bet it'd be almost as fun as going home with the great Gavin Dawson. My opinion of Modano has gone down over recent years.  He was a great player but has been very mediocre the past few years - his stint in Detroit shows he should have retired.  He was shown to have been a pretty poor captain.  Not really a team guy - notice that when he got married, the only player (or ex-player) that was invited was Brett Hull - no other player?  Also seems to be rathered entitled - "expects" to have a job with the Stars.  As what?  Don't really see him as a scout traveling around filing reports or as a coach.  Just a PR guy at best.    

Funny you mention "ESPN's Maverick boost" but never mentioned the Fan's Rangers boost last year.
