One Ticket to One Game: Which Cowboys Game Would You Attend in 2011?

Not that my mood was helped any by yesterday's news that NFL lockout mediation would adjourn until perhaps May 16, but yes, thanks for asking, I am already ready for some football.

Caught some Jason Garrett on NFL Network this morning (a replay from earlier in the week). The Cowboys' coach was talking about the lockout in the past tense. As if there were no question the NFL would start the season on time.

If so, it'll be an emotional start September 11 for the Cowboys, the Jets and Garrett. He was a backup quarterback for the Giants when the Twin Towers crumbled under terrorist attack 10 years ago.

"There will be a mix of emotions," Garret said. "We'll be excited to get started, but we'll certainly understand the circumstances for all of the people in New York City."

There will certainly be a ton of hype surrounding that game with 9/11, Rob Ryan vs. Rex Ryan, Garrett's non-interim debut and -- duh -- the Cowboys in prime time against a team fresh off two AFC Championship Game losses.

But is it the season's most intriguing game?

Actually, yes. Although it would be fun to spend Christmas Eve with Jerry Jones and the Eagles in Arlington or to ring in 2012 against the Giants in New York, I think if I had one ticket to one game all season I'd be in Meadowlands Stadium for the opener.

You?

Although we play every year, I always love when the cowboys play philly. Been to many of those games here but would love to see one up there.

NFL. meh.

Call me when we know there's going to be a season. Until then my sports plate is full of Rangers and Mavericks.

Yeah ratings are terrrrrible...people would pay to see me, but you couldn't pay them to listen to me or richie for 1 minute.

None of them. Give me tickets to the World Series, no matter who's playing. Football is best watched in HD from the couch. If they're playing at all.

I'm already tired of sports media playing right into the NFL's sunshine, lollipop, and rainbow view on a season that could very well not be.

There are some good college games to attend in the area (might even want to venture down to Waco to see TCU v Baylor).

High School playoffs are always good entertainment, especially at the higher end venues.

Other than that I might be interested in seeing Stafford or Bradford take apart the Cowboys D like Cutler did last year.

I anticipate spending most of my 2011 fall outside shooting hoops instead of watching the Fox robot attempt to hype a truncated year.

I agree with you - Cowboys/Jets 9/11/11. That make me feel so effing dirty, too.

RW, I'm sure you've missed San Francisco since the World Series ended, so I'm guessing that's where you would go.As far as the opener, America's team, 10 year anniversary of attacks...are the red flags going up here? I wouldn't want to be within 2 hours of that place.Give me @ New England.
