Richie I have to strongly disagree on this. Rodman was THE best rebounder in the history of the NBA and one of the best defenders arguably in the game. He revolutionized how players today play defense (I know may seem like a stretch, kindof like your blog) We need more Rodman's in the game today, He didn't put up M.J or Lebron type numbers on offense, which in the eyes of some may be lame. He is crazy-yes. Does his off the court actions cloud up his achievements on the field? Yes. But if we are going down that road, you could make the same argument with Irvin and L.T on the football field. The Hall is about achievement on the court, not off.

Well Considering its not the NBA hall of Fame but rather the basketball hall of fame, covering all levels and gender of basketball, Id say not too bad of a list. For a sport where the roster holds 11 guys, you dont really have the amount of players to choose from that baseball and football and hockey have so they have to do it this way. and if anyone including you says his offense sucks, well Dirk cant play D for shit so he shouldnt be in either then

Junior Miller has already made a indisputable case for Rodman in the Hall. The guy was a lockdown defender against any opponent of any size and had ridiculous rebounding numbers that make Kevin Love's look pedestrian.

Just because he's a crap interview and a really odd dude doesn't mean he's not worthy of enshrinement.

The basketball hall is for the entire sport, not just the NBA. Judging by the quality of your posts this week, I'm guessing a Dez update is next on the agenda.

Ah, I love starting a blog that has a question in the title, never gets old friend!Rodman has 5 rings, how many do Motta and Nelson have? I'm never offended about a coach not going into the hall of fame, who gives an F? Rodman dominated as a defender and rebounder. Isn't there some stat that while he was on the floor, he got 25% of all rebounds? He could score, it wasn't part of his game that he was focused on. I'm still bitter about the debacle he had with my Spurs, the 95 team should have beaten the Rockets, but I won't deny what that guy could do for your team. He was 6'6, the only other person that size that could rebound like him was Barkley. Is it ok to put Barkley, who has no titles, in the HOF? Wait, is it April 5?

Yeah, because he single-handedly effed over the Spurs during his tenure there, when they were really poised to actually make a legitimate pre-Duncan title run, Rodman can go to hell for all I care.

But that being said, he's definitely a Hall of Famer.

Rodman was a transcendent rebounder and top tier defender (undersized at that) for three great teams over the better part of a decade. Smells like a HoFer to me. The only reason he's not in already is because he's also a transcendent weirdo and didn't play nice with the media gatekeepers.
