You've Got Questions, Ron Washington Has Answers

Let's make this simple, shall we? Sat down with Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington yesterday here in Surprise and asked him what I thought were some pertinent questions.

Allow me to paraphrase, in the spirit of keeping this short and sweet in the wake of last night's 3.5-hour, come-from-ahead 11-10 exhibition against the Colorado Rockies.

Q: Neftali Feliz, starter or closer?

A: Starter.

Q: OK, if Feliz starts then who closes?

A: Don't know, but I don't think we have a reliable closer on our roster other than him.

Q: Will Michael Young be a Ranger on Opening Day?

A: Yes.

Q: Is he going to be a decent first baseman if need be?

A: Of course.

Q: Who's your center fielder?

A: Julio Borbon.

Q: Aren't you a better team with David Murphy in the lineup?

A: Where?

Q: Left field?

A: That puts Josh Hamilton in center, where he'll play like a wild man and run into a wall and get hurt. Can't have that.

Q: But isn't Josh a wild man in left, on the bases and everywhere in between?

A: Decent point. But there's lots less ground to cover in left.

Q: Are you prepared to predict a Rangers' return to the World Series this season?

A: We'll be ready to play April 1. Other than that -- (wait for it) -- you never know how baseball gonna go.

from what i've seen ratings-wise thus far this month, the tardline will be lucky to match their feeble 1.6 of last month.

we all know Jake Z & TC's podcast gets better ratings....how long until Killer's podcast passes 105.3's pm drive show?

You were really idiotic enough to ask him if he's going to predict a return trip to the World Series? Are you a moron, or do you think he is? At least the Hardline gave him the music quiz.

I predict Post #3 today to be something generic about the overrated NCAA tournament or a YouTube video. And the End tomorrow will have something either about radio ratings or religion related to the earthquake in order to whore page views, as well as some passive-aggressive comment about us posters.

Richie deserves all the nut kickin' we give him....the only person that finds this drivel interesting is the person I can't name. Hint: it ryhmes with Bob Hem. Hell, last week when Mertie was writing, I didn't even post because it made it impossible for me to hijack somebody. RW, atleast write a story about fat ladies, or toilets, or skinny guys in jeans hangin' out at the lake.

The ulimate story would include:

-Oklahoma (once at Fobb Bottom I once saw a guy set a live tree on fire) or Garland-Walmart-A fat lady in a ripped Looney Tunes shirt-A shirtless guy swimming in a lake with his jeans on, while smoking-Bar S hot dogs-An American Standard or Porto pottie-An aluminum fishing boat-Some manner of gunplay (I once saw a guy throw a grenade below the Texoma dam, and collect about 400 stunned or dead stripers in a giant net).

Richie has a radio show? What station? Is it the station that parks it's van across the street during Ticketstock every year? Is it on the BDH radio network? Does he broadcast from his living room with Mel, Dennis Hof and goofy? So many frickin' questions!

My prediction for the 1pm post(wait for it)....toldya so about the Mavs. Now they're in 3rd, could we see them folding? Tomorrow's game against the team with the best record in the league could dictate the rest of the year.

Richie's ego

You are forgetting all the show prep for Rage that has to be done. Every segment is golden when they unleash the big guns with segments like white truck wednesday and Greggo's junk which take hours of preparation. Who can forget the greatness delivered by the supporting cast with classics like air Armen and Sybil's stuff that keep them up half the night prepping. There is a reason they are the number 1 top rated show in afternoon drive. Greggo predicted this when he announced on air that they were gonna destroy the Ticket and ESPN when they moved to the 2-7 slot.

What happened to Richie commenting on this blog? Is his ego out of control again?
