a few wknd shifts and a couple months of Newy carrying richie's bag doesn't equate to a drivetime gig promotion.richie went WAY out of his way to write fluff pieces on behalf of greggo and then stole the hammer away from john clay wolfe.smart move on richie's behalf to latch on to an addict who lost his fastball in order to get some radio exposure.big gamble on bruce gilbert's behalf to move them to primetime.105.3 the Fail's plan to "suck less" with RAGE isnt working.they're actually sucking more evidenced by recent ratings.maybe richie can get greggo a gig writing for the observer when the switch is flipped.

Romo's Broken Shoulder is right - Greggo wasn't stolen from anybody. In fact, like him or not, Richie was the one who brought on Greggo during Newy's vacation last May and got him a chance on the Fan to begin with. I am assuming the feedback was overwhelmingly positive since they offered him a full-time gig after only two or three fill-in shows.

Did Richie then steal Greggo? Maybe you can make a point there. He had the chance to stay with Newy but jump shipped to Greggo - Richie is likely looking out for his own best interest and knows Greggo is still a likeable and talented host and could have enough potential to have a successful show in the future. Although I don't think Richie is near as bad as people here make him as a host, Greggo is without question the main draw for RAGE and Richie knows it.

And yeah, did you read Greggo's blog when he was with ESPN? I don't see a future in journalism...

if greggo is to succeed he needs a strong, veteran host.say what you will about richie, but its painfully obvious he is new to radio.neither greggo nor richie can host their own show for an hour, but they were paired and given 5 hrs to fill.

lets look at it from the PD's point of view:he was asked to save the titanic, but lets use a football analogy.its near the end of the game so he calls the hail mary with greggo as his qb throwing to richie.he is/was hoping greggo can be a draw.he paired hammer with a former local sportswriter.

richie ran the wrong route, but it didnt matter cuz greggo dropped the snap as he saw Galloway blitzing.as josh lewin used to say, "ball game"

Wouldn't really say that the Hammer was stolen from John Douche..and Greggo don't know how to write..so a writing gig is out for him..just hope RW's saving some scratch .. Rhadigan is a friend of Josh Lewin, and he may have been on RAGE today (didn't get to listen). I've never heard Richie say anything bad about him, just that he wonders if it is going to work out.

But if you want to read what Richie just wrote ("Great guy. Good voice.") and decide that he is jealous, do what you got to do.

Richie worked his way up doing weekend shows on the Fan and had a show with Newy before joining Greggo. Merkin, you are a bit of an attitudinal ass, but at least you make fair points time to time. Scruffy is just a one-note troll.

Rhads worked his way up from TV sportscaster, to FSSW anchor while doing some rangers broadcasting in there. So whats your point? That comes straight from Rhads LinkedIn page. As for beingg attitudinal, I guess I am, but only when I know Im talking facts

When Richie posts second to Unfair Park and then doesn't manage to provide a quarter of the content but does manage to fit some baseless snark in, it's my opinion he deserves a kick in the nuts. All we want is a blog that isn't half-assed.
