Tony Romo + Golf = Bad Decision?

Categories: Dallas Cowboys

Last time we saw Tony Romo in action he was sprawled out on his back October 25 at Cowboys Stadium, victim of a vicious sack that resulted in a broken collar bone. Eventually placed on injured reserve, Romo missed the Cowboys' final 10 games of the disastrous season.

Even though he's been cleared by team doctors to resume normal physical activities, won't it be a tad troubling to see him playing ... golf?

Before football?!

Romo, as he did last year, will team with John Daly in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am February 7-13 in northern California. The event begins the day after Super Bowl XLV.

I love me some Romo. I still think he's underrated as a quarterback, still in the same class as Aaron Rodgers (certainly not ahead of Green Bay's star, but likewise not far behind) and still good enough to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl.

Getting engaged to hottie Candice Crawford notwithstanding, he makes some interesting off-field decisions. Golf isn't a contact sport and he has the right to live his personal life on his own accord, but it just doesn't look good to see him swinging a club before we see him throwing a pass.

This bother anyone?
