Wade Phillips = Fired

• I'm serious. Since he got on the radio, his posts have been half assed and fewer. He used to go back and forth with us a lot more, now he just posts dickhead comments. The Sportatorium has become a joke, and I'm honestly surprised that the Observer hasn't fired him.

• I heard video killed the radio, but in this instance, radio killed the internet blog. The gig might be up, Wilonski might be looking for a new sportytorium writer, lets just pray to all grown up jeebus that its not rooster or rob

• RW moved to California to stalk his hero Pelosi and all she's brought to that state with their 85 Billion (65 Billion near junk bond) debt.

• It's early so I'm risking getting my facts wrong, but this could be an implosion for Jason Garrett. I point to Mike Martz. He was a great offensive coordinator under a great coach in Dick Vermeil, but Martz could never duplicate Vermeil's success entirely. The Rams had a great offense under Vermeil and Martz, but they abandoned the run game under Martz. Martz now has a reputation that has gone from genius to mediocre coach. If Jason Garrett is freed up to throw the ball almost exclusively, he could suffer a similar disastrous fate.

• Jerry Jones said when he hired Wade that Jason Garrett was his next head coach in waiting so none of this is a surprise.How can your assistant be hired before you and then stand in waiting while you try and do your job.Wade had no say in who his assistant would be that is not a good position to be in.I could not work for Jerry Jones.

• So glad Wade's gone. I didn't care WHO as long as it wasn't him. Garrett sounded like a MAN with some confidence and a pair of nuts. . . Something we haven't had from the Cowboys HC in 3.5 years. I hope Garrett comes out kicking ass with both feet. He's got to coach a team of losers who have been conditioned to fail. I'd consider 4-4 a great success.

• I am just happy Wade is gone. I don't care if it's Garrett or Campo or whoever. ANYONE who looks like they are into the game. I have asked this before, but is there ANY other NFL or college coach who looks as dumbfounded on the sidelines as Wade????? Thank god he is gone. I could not stand to see his "Huh" face a day longer. Garrett and Jerry needs to tell those players that the days of camp cupcake are over and those who play hard the rest of the year will be asked to come back if there is a season next year. • How about a little bit of speculation and what if? What if Garrett is able to get the bus back on the road and pull of a string of wins? You can always tell when Jerry is backed into a corner. He makes absolutely no sense at all, there ought to be a qualifier to that, because he ordinarily doesn't make much sense. I wonder if the Courage Boys are going to have a breakdown of the audio tomorrow morning. Warsh might have struggles with subject verb agreement, but Jerry can mangle the language like no public speaker I know. consider hougly Is hougly a new coach? • don't want to hear about Cowher or Gruden or Lombardi, fire the GM if you want change. we need a group of Cowboy legends, led by Staubach, to get together and convince the owner he must hire a credible GM.

• Jerrah made it clear that the coaching change is about keeping butts in the seats at his $1.2B stagium. Nothing will change until the power structure at the top of this thing changes and we all know that isn't going to happen. Sucks to be a Cowboy fan.

• It's obvious he's given Garrett the chance to audition for a job somewhere else. There will be a house cleaning in the offseason, including a new coach next year. If Jerry comes back from the lockout year with Jason Garrett, then he will default on his stagium loans due to lack of ticket sales and concessions even if Garrett were to take them on a nine-game winning streak and a wild card playoff berth. And at what point do you tell Mike Jenkins to f off to some other team that will tolerate his sorriness?

• Dammit, I thought Wade had the tools to take the Cowflops to 3-13 or even 2-14. Who invested money on playoff tickets with Jerry? I can't wait to see how long it takes to get the money back!

• Had to happen, but doesn't change the facts: This is the most disappointing season ever by a local sports franchise. If everyone is playing for their jobs, including the coaches, then OK. If this is the go-forward plan, then I join Rhyner in the anti-Cowboy faction. Of course, if there's no season next year, it doesn't matter worth a flip anyway!
