• Lewin did discuss Stars this week, but I honestly didn't pay much attention to it, seeing how I don't really care. I may care more once Hicks is given the boot from his one last franchise.

• @cactusflinthead Richie did have a post about the beginning of the Stars season when it kicked off, I'll give him that. As a hockey fan myself, I've just resigned myself to the fact that the only way I'll ever hear a discussion about the Stars is about twice a week on the Ticket, during the post game show, and then if they ever make the Stanley Cup finals again. Even the Ticket, the "home of the Stars", can't be buggered to discuss the team hardly at all. And when the start of the season comes during the World Series run? Yeah, I'm lucky they don't just cancel the Stars games.

• I heard RW say before that the Mavs will win 50+ games this year and lose the first round of the playoffs, which means in reality they will probably win the NBA Finals or have a horrible season and not make the playoffs.

• FC Dallas has quietly been a surprise hit this year. Hoping they can pull off the aggregate win in Salt Lake. As for the Stars, I'm waiting for the team to collapse under Hicks' monumental level of suck.

• Oh now you suddenly remember that hockey is played in this town? After the Rangers lose to the Giants and the Cowboys house of cards came crashing down we get a passing nod at stick and puck. And a big Ho Hum at the Mavericks in anticipation of another 50 win season and playoff loss from RW. (Yeah I heard you on the radio) My turn to bash you on this one. There are some of us that actually enjoy watching hockey and appreciate the fact that the Mavericks that used to flat-out suck are pretty damn good. Go back to bemoaning the Cowboys. • There's been some talk about losing Modano and Turco has actually helped the Stars as the younger/newer players have really taken over the locker room and the team is playing hard from top to bottom. Lehtinen has also looked good in goal over all. They might not be knocking on the Stanley Cup's door, but they could very well be a playoff team this year. WOOO!

• Richie, You are free to make the trek to Frisco if FCD goes onto the Western Conference Final, but there is a pretty good chance you'll be sitting in an empty stadium as the game will most likely be in Los Angeles as long as the Galaxy hold on to their lead over Seattle. The Galaxy are the #1 seed in the West, FCD are #3.
