• Good to hear the Hammer is back on track. I do listen to Greggo and Whit every once in a while, but unlike some I dig BADD Radio's bits; Gay not Gay, What's on my Tivo and the GBL are all enjoyable for me. Although I must admit Donovan brings nothing to the program. I still think the Little Ticket has every right to play Greggo drops. I don't get the complaints about the Ticket using Greggo drops, most boil down to "Hammer doesn't work for the Ticket so they should quit playing his drops". That would be a legitimate gripe except that Dion Sanders, President Reagan and Latarian also have never worked for the Ticket and their drops are also played non-stop.

• Ratings can be under-rated but are usually over-rated for rating something.

• Jagger in the Morning- Dan Gilbert should fine a replacement for this trash asap. Jagger is boring and is not believable as a sports guy. He's perfect as the morning DJ on 102.9 but not for sports radio. Newy- Listenable for 5-10 mins at a time and then he becomes annoying with all his rhetorical questions he asks the audience. A 1 hour nightime show would be better for Newy. RAGE- stupid name for the show but the best thing on the FAN bar none. Greggo is a Dallas legend and the best radio personality in the area. Gavin and Greg- Worst show on the Fan bar none. Dan Gilbert please fire these tools asap and put Richie and Greggo in drive time. These guys are so bad its laughable and there just plain boring. Arnie- I too grew up listening to Arnie on national radio and like his show. He is best as a hardcore sports guy and apparently FAN mgmt is letting him take on that role more. Arnie is horrible if he goes off track into non sports related material. Just my opinions

• I guess I just attribute you to asking 1000 questions to being caller driven. You could just be asking Greggo 1000 questions though. I dont understand the need to ask if anyone agrees with you "Am I off base", "Am I going crazy" or the throw back "Is it just me" ... I stopped listening for a while because of the nonsense, but if you say that things have changed, I'll give it another try. Not changing my stance on Jagger and douche bag nation though.

• I have been surprised in a good way. You guys are really pretty good. Greggo seems to be his old self but with a bit of humility. That's a good thing. Keep up the good work and try not to suck.

• Usually I would agree with that, but anyone with a set of ears can tell The Fan morning and late afternoon shows suck (especially Gavin and Gregg). I think most of The Fan defenders have really only singled out RAGE as the one show that is way better than what the station usually throws out there (though there is some support for Newy as well, which I agree he is not bad). The Ticket may not be what it used to, but it's still head and shoulders above its (weak) competition.

• @Thomas: I have been thinking that for a while now. I think it's funny that ticket listeners think b/c a ton of people listen to it makes it better than the fan. a lot of people listen to lady gaga too.

• Bob and Dan are fine with me, but I have little tolerance for Donovan. I enjoy Greggo but the rest of the Fan is too generic FM for me. Not interested in fan texts every 3 minutes, either.

• welcomed back on my radio. I think I have made clear my stance that I am tending more towards listening to the Fan during RW and Greggo's time slot. I didn't give a shit about 24, Lost or about 90% of the bits that BaD radio seems enamored with these days. Somebody gets to wear a suit. Big fucking deal. Dan whips my ass with his bog downs over pointless BS. When RW and Hambonita were discussing the situation with the Big 12 and its possible dissolution and Sturm couldn't so much as get a glimmer of interest out of his fellow rust belt refugee that pretty much sealed the deal. Dan couldn't be bothered with speculating on that set of scenarios. Gee, it seems like the ENTIRE SPORTS RADIO CONCEPT is built upon speculation and opinion by the hosts. Hell, it pissed him off that Sports Sturm even wanted to entertain the idea. I know there are a lot of folks that still have to think about which station to listen to during those hours, the decision is getting easier for me. If Bob and Dan are talking about stuff I could not care less about I have an alternative now. I couldn't say that before.

• @Scotts Merkin I love Greggo but do think his ego got out of control (like as mentioned in The Hard Lie article when Hammer accused his coworkers of conspiring against him, and I defend Greggo but that claim is rather ludicrous), but how exactly did he use Rhynes? The entire HL mailed it in the last several years and it's a joke now compared to the '90s pre Danny and Corby glory days. Rhyner is great as the "straight" host and leader, in fact I always admired Rhynes because he's the type who would roll his eyes at the generic X's and O's Guy Sports type host, but you need a personality to reel in the audience and Greggo was that for the HL. I do not think Hammer acted professionally nor do I entirely blame The Ticket for severing ties with him, but the way The Hard Line danced on his Ticket grave was pure classless and I'm not referring to a Greggo drop here or there, that is fine and I love it when Gordo plays a classic audio with Greggo. I'm talking about the obnoxious "ding dong the witch is dead" type stuff they revelled in leading up to and after his official firing/quitting. As for the main question, even with the sad divorce from the station, I think Greggo will go down as one of the greatest Ticket personalities, he's up there with Gordo to me. It's good to hear him without generic ESPN type parameters or RJ Douche Choppy (can you really blame Greggo for falling off the wagon with him as cohost?), and while The Fan has its critics and I've been one, they at least let him be wild assed hammer like we remember in the Ticket glory years. In closing, PUFFFFF DADDDDY!!!!

• ...the reason I listen to 105.3. A couple observations: 1. I read this blog daily. I like Richie's writing and his radio show. Many of the other commenters do the same, yet claim to hate him. Why would you check this site multiple times per day and listen to his show all week if you hate it so much? 2. I agree that there are too many females on the show. Sybil is somewhat funny but Lacy tries too hard. More than one girl is only good at a whorehouse.

• it's definitely like hearing greggo again, it's great! he's just one of those minds and personalities that can simply DO radio. his unbelievable stories never cease to amaze me. gavin and greg are the biggest waste of space i've ever heard in my life. cant stand those hillbillies and im a pretty reasonable, mellow dude. though greggo's home is the ticket. he fit the ticket and the ticket fit him. we still get to see Modano, it's just on the Red Wings now.

• I think Greggo is good. I don't think he is the same, but I dont think that is a bad thing. People change, and I wish him the best in his recovery. Here's my breakdown of the FAN ? : Don't even know who is on the morning show except Jagger, and that is the sole reason I have ZERO interest. For him to be on a sports talk morning show is a travesty in itself. He is the douchiest of douche. Newy : I can take. I think he is listenable in doses if you are in the all sports mode. RAGE : Although I think the name is a little over the top because they actually used an acronym (douche), they are sometimes okay to deal with in doses as well. I hate that you can't have one topic without them trying to shoe horn that's what she said moments, but it is what it is. They try, and are listenable. Richie really is just a fan, and you can tell because he has no feel for the happy medium. I think I would really like it more if it weren't for the caller driven premise of asking 1000 questions. That is the most annoying thing about the entire station. G - BAG Nation : The name says it all. Anything with Nation sucks. They suck, and talk about douche. The entire station just seems to wreak with posers. They just seem to force the issues. Let the game come to you. Arnie : Even if the TICKET had an evening show I would still listen to Arnie. The guy is funny, and just seems like he is not playing a part. • Greggo has been much better than I thought he would and I am happy for it. Now if they could pair him up w/ some one decent and put him in the afternoon they would have a show. I liked Wally w/ Greggo. But Richie needs to go. Nobody else on the show is even listenable. I will tune in Arnie in the evening when noting else is on just because I like irratainment. The guy is a complete idiot and has no talent. He machine guns topics just to see if anything sticks, then has absolutely no facts to base his opinions on. He does even less prep work for his show than the Hardline.

• I haven't heard a second of yall's show, but I am happy that Greggo is doing well for now. I can only hope he has accepted responsibility for his fall from grace and is past being mad at his former friends that he felt turned their backs on him. Hopefully he realizes they had to turn their backs on him for him to have any chance get to where he apparently is now. And while I don't see any hubris in this blog entry, everyone involved needs to remember that hubris is the pride that comes before the fall. Stay humble and hopefully it'll all work out.

• As a hardcore P1, who has at many times attempted to give The Fan chance after chance after chance, I will say that hearing Greggo on the air is nice. It didn't work at ESPN b/c what has been confirmed, is Greggo is not a lead banana, he is best suited as the #2. Saying RW & Greggo is the best show on The Fan is like saying Wee Man is the tallest midget...i.e. what does it matter over the big radio scheme? As much as RW & Greggo might be the best show on that wavelength, I still feel as though they both are 2nd fiddle guys, which is okay. As much as we need Greggo, Greggo really needs a great #1 guy, a la Old Grey Wolfe circa 1994-2005 (I know they were together longer, but this was prime). I am sure Gilbert is already on the lookout for that and many other changes.

• Rob M speaks the truth. Greggo is the only one who makes the whole frigging station listenable outside of the purchased game rights. Granted, when you look at both drive times it's a lower bar than championship limbo, and as much as Richie and/or management tries to torpedo their show with Richie's stubborn douche schtick and clueless chicks on mic, I've greatly enjoyed when all the BS is stripped away and Greggo is allowed to go into pure sports talk. Too bad that's far too rare between failed-from-conception bits, poor board work, and too much Sybil.

• I listened to the post game show for the first time and thought it was better than 1310. Mostly because 105.3 can put on Brad Sham and also play other clips that 1310 can't. • I listened to a little of the post game show yesterday while running some errands and it was a very good show. Greggo sounded great. I don't listen during the midday because I'm at work and the website's podcasts are not that easy to use so this is the first I've heard of him since the return. I'm very glad to hear him doing well.
