Yuck Spit Vomit: Mike Modano is Now the Enemy

• Part of me is pissed at him for the love-fest send off he received at the end of this past season. Another part of me is pissed that he decided to join an arch rival team. I think it's more of a slap in the face to the Stars for not letting him ride it out. Both he and Leht's are on the way out, the mgmt should have let him take his own time. The other part of me is pissed at him for looking like nothing more than a fucking greedy athlete, trying to cash in one last time. He had his victory lap. He doesn't need another unless it's with Dallas.

• Russell, you were wrong. You said that Richie will soon ask us what we think of this, how mad we're supposed to get and how bad of a trader we think Modano is signing with the dark side. He didn't. He asked us will they even have another season. Loser.

• How exactly is Mo 'the enemy'? All the dude wanted to do was keep playing, when the Stars made it clear he couldn't do that here he explored other options. I'm willing to bet that when the Stras and Wings open up the AAC this season - #9 will still garner the most applause.

• Rooster--I hate to agree with Merkin, but he's right. You gotta stop with the overplayed, repetitive "internet conversation with yourself, you must be at your dad's computer" crap. It's truly not funny, nor really threatening or menacing. It's just kind of blah. It's a bit soft and nerdy. And repeating it makes it worse. So work on other comebacks, bits, and smarter retorts. This is the big leagues and you've just been sent down to single A.

• Today's Dish: King Ranch Chicken (very easy!) canned chicken dice roma tom's, onions and green peppers mix cream of mushroom soup and sour cream chop cilantro _____ ok, now mix it all together, add salt and chili spice ____________ corn tortillas ______ layer it like a lasagna, put shredded colby jack betwee every layer bake at 350 for 40 minutes. tastes just like enchilada's...and the kids love it. oh yeah, top with chipotle tabasco and serve some nice sides-maybe spanish rice and black beans....maybe sauteed onions and peppers with oil and vinegar, and 7 spice. drink with Shiner or pound that ole' Budweiser (Jim Bouton, Ball Four). Speaking of Jim Bouton, who thinks of a word like sh$tf$ck-I love it! Only thing better is the intro to Fear and Loathing by the great Doctor or "a monster stead with a fiery anus" from Hell's Angels (also by the great Doctor). May he live in that great Aspen night, when all of his ashes come back to earth. Come to think of it I want to blasted out of a cannon when I die. Kergie Out.

• thank you Scotts Merkin, Rooster just does it to keep his name visible. once-ok.....40 times-like being around my wife. I picture a 60+ guy in his underwear all day, on the computer. Who says "looney tunes"? That's like sasparilla.

• I am not Kergo/Russell/Fartface/whatever. Kergo is much more brilliant in his posts than me. I mean who else here could give us a vaction itenerary, dinner menu, and HSO's on former Boston ahthletes as eloquently as Kergs. • On a sports related note, professoinal athletes change teams late in their career. It's the business. It doesn't diminish what he did here at all. Emmitt will always be a Cowboy, and Mike a Star.

• @kergo - I guess I hit a little too close to home, huh? That's ok, your widdle feelings will be better eventually.

• What has happened to Half-Cat?? Did he get run overed or taken to get put down? I miss that critter. So enjoyable and entertaining. And the bit never, ever wore thin or got old.

• That is the fake Roostr above. I'm the real Rooster with actual sports points top make and not just talking about people with lame comebacks. I actually do have sports opinions which is the real purpose of this blog. For instance, I think the Dallas Sidekicks wilk win it all this year. I believe Tatu will have an MVP calibur season.

• Mike's 40 years old and now a third line center....who cares? Double Meh! Methinks Russell/Rooster/Scott are the same, don't worry, the prison computer shuts down after 2PM. I'm more concerned about the auction and moving the Rangers to downtown Dallas, so I can actually go to games. ps-do you rednecks really like hockey?

• Why would you retire if you can make $1 million dollars? If it wasn't for Hicks we would have him. He deserves to be here, and Joe should have realized that too. The top lines have already moved on, and Mo was not stopping the development of anyone.

• @dead-on-lol - No. Russell=Kergo=Scotts Merkin=Fartface=Several others. It's the same dude. It's some kid posting on his dad's computer. It will slow down once school is back in. I do have to say though - I really like the way he has one alter ego compliment what the other said.

• Love Mikey Mo, but he needed to retire. It doesn't bother me one bit that he plays for Detroit. He will have little impact on the ice for that team. I wish him well, but he's not a factor.

• Hey guys look, a reason to attend a stars game next season, Modano will be playing here. Ooops, cant go until hicks sells the team. Hicks is the reason Modano is gone, he couldnt even afford to pay mikey a million. WOW.

• I can only hope they don't have any more seasons. Just move them to Winnipeg or Hamilton or Quebec City so we can stop pretending to care about them.
