ABC analyst Jeff Van Gundy -- who I like, by the way -- thinks the LeBron James/Dwyane Wade/Chris Bosh-led Miami Heat will be the best team in NBA history.

He says the Heat, a team he predicts will be "unguardable," will in 2010-11 never lose two games in a row, flirt with the NBA record of 33 consecutive wins, amass more than 72 wins and, of course, capture the championship next June.

By his math, then, the Heat should be undefeated when they visit American Airlines Center on November 27. It won't be the Dallas Mavericks' most important game of the season. But it will probably be the most hyped.

The Mavs, adding rookie Dominique Jones and center Tyson Chandler to last year's 55-win team, open next season October 27 at home against the Charlotte Bobcats and close things April 13 against the New Orleans Hornets.

In between they'll have 25 nationally-televised games between ESPN, ABC, TNT and NBA Network.

Smells like another 50-win season, a playoff berth and then ...
