Lookie Here, There Is a Silver Lining to the Texas Rangers' Bankruptcy

• "Always said A-Rod was a tool."; well, hon', it takes one to know one.

• Never understood why people always dumped on A-Rod here. All he did was play like a MVP, literally winning one on a crappy team here even. And yet it's always blame A-Rod for this or that. He "complained" about wanting a better team for the Rangers and people called him a whiner. Sounds like a lot of fans here, and a rightful criticism of Hicks not doing enough for the team. 1 player doesn't make a roster, and Tom Hicks found that out the hard way...so quit blaming A-Rod, Mr Hicks, you're the one who outspent the next highest bidder by $100 million reportedly. Quit blaming A-Rod people, all he wants is the money he signed for and Tom Hicks is claiming he can't pony up.

• @ Jay Umm did you not catch the sarcasm in the last sentance... there is no reason to sympathize with A fraud. Cant say I like A fraud but Tom offered the contract, Tom should pay it. I think A Rod should get his money from the bankruptcy, its not the new owners fault that Tom gave him that contract. And to me it would just set another precedent that An owner can offer a player and ungodly amnount, then file bk and pass the buck on the debt.

• 1. What jump? 2. Its not Arod's fault Tom blew the Braves' offer out of the water with his 10/252 torpedo. There is only one cat who is to blame for the financial woes of this team and it ain't Arod. As for his argument, I totally agree. Deferred money is still owed money.
