You've Come A Long Way, Tony Romo

Tony Romo failed Monday in his bid to qualify for golf's U.S. Open.

But he succeeded as quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

On December 28, 2008 after a 44-6 season-ending loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Romo infamously shrugged during his post-game interview and said:

"If this is the worst thing that ever happens to me, I'll have had a pretty good life."

After shooting a 71 to flirt with dreams of playing at Pebble Beach later this month, Romo started his second round with snowman-bogey-triple before a second weather delay prompted him to head back to Dallas in time for this morning's Organized Team Activities at Valley Ranch. The quote:

"My dream is to win the Super Bowl."

We all know Romo wants to win as much as his fans. It's just uplifting and encouraging to hear him say it.

To question Romo's work ethic has always been ignorant.

Now--in plain black and white--you can no longer doubt his goals.
