• I dont think anyone is trying to take down Ticket. I was a little skeptical, but Ive been listening to RW & Greggo, and it's been pretty fun. Someone finally had enough sense to pair Greggo with someone as goofy as he is! C'mon Richie...Beatles & Three Dog Night?! And I thought Corby was a music-tard!!

• @ Gary. Puleeeze. With Corby - the 'Flaccid'line" sux - in definite need of some viagra to restore the hardness. Corby gets on my last nerve. Fingernails - meet chalkboard. I like listening to GAC in the late afternoon anyway. As long as Greggo hangs, he & RW are FORMIDABLE competition for BaD radio. RW - a name for your show... The Straight Dope with RW and Greggo LOL. • and all bands on the radio today sound the same, only difference is they didn't suck back then. Now get off my damn yard! Galaragga is a class act though and there's not many players who would of been as understanding as he's been. Lebron to the Mavs? Keep dreaming - of all the talk how Cuban goes above and beyond for his players with luxurious locker rooms with entertainment centers at every locker to supremely fluffy towels fit for a king, to a team jet second to none, we sure don't seem to lure any free agents to sign here. Who's been the biggest free agent to sign in the Cuban years? Erick Dampier? That's pathetic. And what happened to Chris Bosh being a sure thing Mavs target and now he doesn't even consider them in his top 5 destinations...Mavs are what they are, and it's a shut window as currently constructed. • PHHHHHHEEEEW! What a week in this column. I got to watch my beloved sport get robbed by what was a terrible call by Bud Selig, yes, Selig, not Joyce. Dear Bud, Please retire ASAP. Anyhow, what a week.....and the Celtics lose game one, THEN, I've got to listen to every turd west of 160 and east of 635 tell me the merits and greatness of Russ Martin, yes, the same RM who talks about his car. Riveting radio. Again, you townies can claim you king, and while yer at it take Walmart, Nascar, Lex and Terry and Keystone Light. I'll take Tom Thumb, baseball, the Hardline and Gordo, and regular beer that doesn't make you throw shit against the inside of a porta pottie.

• I guarantee Selig would have changed the call if that would have been hit 56 or 57 to break Joe Dimaggios's hit streak. You don't screw with Yankee lore.

• I would much rather they go into an expanded SEC - much better quality of football. The number of good SEC teams is higher than the number of good PAC 10 teams. The PAC 10 more than just USC and UCLA - playing Arizona, Cal, Oregon and Washington doesn't measure up to playing LSU, Georgia, and Arkansas.

• I change the channel during commercials because they are so non-funny and over-the-top. Speaking of over-the-top, that Lebron stunt at Northpark mall is such a waste of time for everyone involved. Those people need to take some classes, get a job, or just find a relevant hobby to occupy their time with. Richie, enough with the Lebron talk already, you speak as if he's hinting around at signing here. He hasn't hinted that so at least find another non-issue to discuss other than this worn thin fantasy. Thank you.

• @Rooster. Yep, even her. I would welcome a laser operated home plate ending the days of an umpire ever saying "my strike zone". If we took the umps out entirely it wouldn't hurt my feelings. That is an extreme alternative, but I would also welcome a video review by the official scorer to overrule an on field decision. Selig had a chance to bolster his image and blew it. I guess Fay Vincent really was the Last Commissioner. Pac16? Aggies are possibly headed off to the SEC? I wonder if the Jayhawkers are going to head to the Big 10 and what about Jerusalem on the Brazos? Where will they go? Off into the C-USA to join TCU in their obscurity? Yeah, yeah, little froggies did well and all that good stuff, but they toil in a backwater conference. Do those programs that want to be a part of the big time get an invite or do they continue to be marginalized? Washington State is certainly not appreciably better as an overall program than TCU, in more than one sport, but one is invited and another is not. I think it all boils down to the money. Kansas is not as big a market as Colorado. All of Nebraska is probably a smaller market than San Antonio. I thought it was a big change when we saw the dissolution of the SWC, but this is far beyond that event. I was actually kind of bored with the basketball game. The hockey series has been better viewing.

• Selig should do the right thing and give Gallaraga his perfect game. It would be the best thing for ump, player, and MLB. I can't believe those idiots are sitting on that. . So was the blonde chick sitting next to Jack Nicholson his date or his grandaughter? . I've always heard that for every hot chick, somewhere there is a guy sick of her crap. Could that be possible with this week's "Hot"? No way.
