• Now this comment goes on for way too long in a manner barely tangentially correlated to the subject, in many instances veering in to personal points of the commenter's daily life which happen to be really more desirable not propagated in a open online community.

• Kobe is still better than Dirk. Why would Lebron come here instead of Miami where Wade is or Chicago. As long as Donnie Nelson is the GM, no big time player will come here unless he is traded here.

• I concur, Tom. I do not think Donnie is the best at his craft, but I feel like he is closer to the best than the worst... above average, at least. There are some pitiful GMs in the Association, and I am careful what I wish for when it comes to that office.

• Let's compare Donnie's draft picking against another team that didn't have very good draft picks, either - the Spurs. You should go analyze other teams' draft picks over the past 10 years and show me one who has hit on more than 2 or 3 players, while consistently avoiding the lottery... hell, consistently picking without the lottery even being in sight.

• yeah Donnie. It's hard to draft that low for so many years and win a title. The Spurs have been lucky.

• Russell, what has Donnie done wrong? Late 2nd round picks? Just because his moves haven't resulted in a championship doesn't mean he isn't an excellent GM. There have only been a few teams who have won titles in the past decade. Nothing in the NBA draft is guaranteed... even the top pick. I'm just saying he has done a very respectable job.

• Kobe is the best NBA player in this moment, Lakers win in game 6.

• Donnie Nelson needs to go. He's the only GM in Dallas history to get a free pass like he does. NOBODY in the local media crticizes this guy. His draft picks are a joke. How has he not lost his job already. I know he's a nice guy and all, but the results are what matters and this guy sucks at what he does.

• Boston plays the best man-to-man defense in the NBA. Why would they bother employing a zone? Also, the dirty little secret of the Western Conference Finals was that the Lakers had no trouble scoring on the Suns' zone after game 3.

• See, RW, you are smart.....always bet on Boston! Again, that Gallaraga thing is a travesty; please Bud, make the right decision and declare this thing a perfect game. Otherwise baseball loses ALL credibility, just like with the steroids issue. And then your whole tenure would be remembered as a cavalcade of smelly dung. Bring back Kennisaw Mountain Landis. And for crissakes, get lasik-you look like a pedophile with those 1974 glasses and skinny neck.

• -Jordan went 6 for 6 in the finals(6 visits, 6 rings) -Duncan got to 4 rings before Kobe AND is 4 for 4 in the finals. -Duncan's teams won at least 50 games/year. -Kobe's teams had 3 consecutive years of 34, 45, and 42 wins. Didn't qualify for the playoffs one year, and went out in the first round back to bach years. Without Gasol and Shaq, his career has sucked. Let's tap the brakes on Kobe. He's a great player but the best ever? Nope.

• Doc Rivers couldn't win until Garnett & Allen arrived? Well, Phil Jackson had a .500 team that couldn't get out of the 1st Round until he got Gasol. What's your point?

• I've always liked Boston (2nd to the Mavs), but Rondo cannot make free throws. It is painful to watch. He is a great PG, but his free throw problems make him invisible late in games, which is the opposite of Kobe. Doc Rivers has made vast improvements since '07... he was even bad in '08 and they won in spite of some bad decisions... but he is doing great this year.
