I've been advised repeatedly by the Ticket P1's on this board that absolutely zero additional listeners for the FAN will come when the Cowboy season starts and the FAN starts any special coverage for the Cowboys.

l understand from them that everyone in the metroplex would rather listen to Corby than that hack Larry Brown, Laufenberg, Spagnola, Witten, Phillips, Jones and/or Sham when it comes to insight on the Cowboys.

Thank you Ticket P1's for letting at least some of your intelligence shine on the rest of us for a brief moment.

No problem scott. As a listener to the number 1 (by far) sports station in the market I'm proud to be able to shine the light on such a dim life. But to be honest, I'm more of a p2 cause ipod takes over during Norm and the Hardline. As for the Fan, thanks but no thanks. None of that line up has anything of interest whatsoever. I won't even be checking in to see what they have. Not with Sturm down the dial.

Jagger is hosting a football pre-game show? Wow, way to continue being 105.3 The Fail.

Wow, that lineup on the pre and post game shows is terrrrible. At least The Ticket's pre and post games had some credibility, bringing in Sturm and Norm to handle the responsibilities. The fan trots out a shock jock and an ex-call screener? The Ticket's offerings will still be better.

Spagnola is the biggest Cowboys apologist in the world. Who cares?

As for the shows with Witten, Jerry, and Wade, I'm sure they will be even more generic and boring than they were when they were on Ticket.

And with the introduction of Tivo and DVRs, it has become next to impossible to listen to the radio broadcast while watching the game.

Actually,the thing I'm looking forward to is the EPIC Monday morning breakdown of the previous day's Cowboys game by Mondo.

Sean Salisbury?? Holy crap that guy fell far.

Seriously? That's the game day lineup for the Dallas Cowboys Flagship station? That means they will broadcast on every radio affiliate all across Texas, and in 9 states. Jagger talking Cowboys puts the Ass in Embarrassing.

There is no bigger waste of airtime than Mickey Spagnola.
The guy spends his entire life at Valley Ranch yet has never been able to give a better answer to what the hell is wrong with the Cowboys than any other reporter just stopping in.

The odd part is that the Fan does have some personalities who have some credibility that they aren't using for their football broadcast, apparently.

Namely, Richie? Hey, overlord of this blog, why the eff aren't you involved in any of these shows?

How were you able to report that lineup with a straight face? That menu makes me want to throw up.

snore. The only reason I might listen to the Fan's version is if I can't get the Ticket. The only human mentioned in that entire menu that is worth listening to is Witten. Wade, Boring. Spagnola, not.that.great.
Jerry is the world's greatest filibusterer. The man can say less with more words than anybody I know. Insta punch out. I can let someone like you sift through all the smoke and dust to find whatever glimmer of light might be hiding in the flood of jabbering that exits his piehole.
It probably won't utterly fail, but it sure doesn't make me want to flip channels.

To P1s, I apologize. I tuned to the ticket this AM for the "tricycle race" and last week for a discussion on Stuckies roadside stations in the 70s-90s vs gas stations. I'm now fully on board as a P1 during Cowboy season and for all pre/post action. Who needs Larry Brown, Witten, Jones, Wade, Laufenburg, etc.... Damn hacks!

Yeah you're right Scott. The Fan never talks about inane non-sports things. And I love that the Fan goes to calls. Calls are really what drives me to listen to the hosts of a station.

The only times the Wade or Jerry shows were ever in the least bit entertaining was when the Ticket guys would dare to ask tough questions. The Fan ass kissers will be lobbing softballs all day long. And the biggest ass kiss of them all is Mickey. What a joke of a reporter. One of my favorite Mickey moments is when Bob and Dan allowed Line 4 Guy to ask Mickey a Cowboys question. It was "Mickey, has anyone on the Cowboys ever done anything wrong"? Probably not in that shill's mind.

And someone tell Sean Salisbury that he wasn't that great.

And Jagger as the pregame host? You serious, Clark?

Can't wait for Ticket Theater 1310 to make a reappearance. That is unless a "Last Supper" happens.

My listening habits will be the same. Turn the radio on five minutes before the game and turn it off shortly after it's over. Maybe.....they can actually make the picture and the sound a little closer together. The various combinations of KTCK towers couldn't do it here in Big Sky Country.

Sorry Cowboys Radio Network...I don't think Jagger and Salsbury are credible enough to be on this big of a stage. I will stick with KTCK's pregame show. Or I will start listening when the mandatory network join in happens at 15 or 30 minutes before kickoff. Hell most of the time I prolly still be in church when kickoff happens anyway.
