Rich - very hard to leave out Sundberg, might swap him for Wetteland, who was just here for a few years (although, I do have a #35 jersey).

Others - Grover, Franco and Michael Young.

Too bad we can't extend the list and work in Bump Wills, Kenny Suarez, Dave Hostetler and Nelli Norman.

How bout a list of Top Ten Rangers who came here in the twilight of their careers and spared us to death?

@ Richie...This is the first time you've written something so stupid I have to leave a comment. I usually just ignore it because I don't expect anything more from you. Any all-time Ranger list that doesn't include Rusty Greer, Jim Sundberg and Michael Young isn't worth a crap. If you left them off, to generate comments, it worked. If you left them off because you don't think they deserve to be included...you're an idiot and continue to show why you're on a spare radio station instead of the #1 station!

You gotta find a way to get Rusty Greer on this list. Make it a player's list and take Johnny Oates off, maybe, or get rid of A-Fraud, dunno.

But this list is a sham if Greer isn't there.

I'd start by taking out the steroid guys, so no ARod, Juando, Raffy or Pudge.

@ Richie...If this is all-time RANGERS then it's simple to remove Wetteland (fewer years here than all 3 and more of a Yankee than a Ranger) Oates (not a player-if you're going off the field, where are Grieve and Vandergriff? They're more a part of Ranger history than Oates) and A-Roid (a great player but he quit on this organization, begged out, and continued to disgrace the team even after he left. He was only here a few years and is the first person I'd take off your list. If your list was the most talented players to wear a Rangers uniform, he would have to be at or near the top. An all-time Ranger...NO WAY!) If you can honestly make a list of all-time Rangers and not include Sundberg, Young or Greer, your lack of Ranger knowledge amazes me!

@Fraggy: Oliver is a good suggestion! I don't think he'd make my top 10. He spent most of his career with the Pirates and was only here 4 years but those were 4 very productive years. He would probably be number 11 on my list and definitely before Wetteland, A-Roid or Oates.

Julio Franco would also make my list before any of those 3. (Close call between him and Wetteland)

Mike Shropshire should be on this list for writing Seasons in Hell. Whitey Herzog or Billy Hunter may be on this list if the Rangers would of had better ownership in the first 10 years.

What about the great pitching trident of Bobby Witt, Mitch Williams and Chan Ho Park?
