NFL Quarterback Rankings: Week 10

Please, for the love of God, rescue us!

You catch any of Steelers over Redskins last night? Weird. Could’ve sworn I saw Pittsburgh lose its starting quarterback to an injury, only to insert a backup who actually helped them win the game.

I know. Crazy.

By my count six backup quarterbacks won games in the NFL last weekend, including the Steelers’ Byron Leftwich. This week even more get the chance as Houston’s Matt Schaub (Sage Rosenfels), Cleveland’s Derek Anderson (Brady Quinn) and Chicago’s Kyle Orton (Rex Grossman) head to the sideline.

Thankfully, Tony Romo gets another week to heal his pinkie ouchie. Because, like I’ve said since July, Brad Johnson is pa-thet-ic. I’m guessing this guy wants a do-over? 16th among backups? I’ve consistently had Johnson 32nd among starters. And recently promoted backup Brooks Bollinger? Just a tick less sucky.

Without Romo, the Cowboys’ offense has produced four touchdowns in 35 drives. Oh, where have you gone Bernie Kosar, Steve Beuerlein and even Jason Garrett?

It was a disservice for Jerry Jones not to acquire a capable backup. If Romo doesn’t start every game the rest of the season, it will be a disaster.
