Dallas’ Only Daily Breaks Ground with a, um, Ground-Breaking Idea?

Belo at its best.

Dallas’ Only Daily sports columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor (wearing a white lab coat, v-neck sweater, bow tie, scruffy, proletarian mustache and Bluetooth earpiece, peculiarly speaking with a robust Irish accent): Ya know what I’ve been thinking?

Dallas’ Only Daily sports columnist Tim Cowlishaw (wearing a white lab coat, v-neck sweater, bow tie and waxy, handle-bar mustache, peculiarly speaking with a robust Irish accent): What’s that?

JJT: We should start our own sports blogs!

TC: Our own sports blogs?! Brilliant!

TC: What in the devil is a sports blog?

JJT: Well, we’re columnists who write a couple times a week. But with a blog, we can write every day.

TC: Writing every day?! Brilliant!

JJT: Yes, imagine a place where we can opine on everything, post heady links and generally dump our brain into cyberspace?

TC: My God, man. How’d you ever devise such a grand scheme?

JJT: Funniest thing. The idea just magically arrived.

(Toasting ink-drenched quills)

TC: Brilliant!

JJT: Brilliant! -- Richie Whitt

Greggo's Coke-Scarred Septum says:

Your's and The Sturminator's blogs are the only local blogs I read everyday, because quite frankly...I think JJT and Cowlishaw suck balls.

F-Greggo.

Richie Whitt says:

Hey, I beat them to the blogosphere by 3 months. In Internet time that's like 90 days.
Score. Board.

Fraggy says:

jjt is the worst! he starts every other sentance off with "you see...". as in, you are way to stupid to know this, so let Me, the great jjt, explain it to you. cowli is ok, but he comes out of left field with a column every now and then that is so obviously just meant to shock. overall, i might peak at cowli's blog, but no way will i ever go near jjt.

3 months is a lifetime in these days of the internet. it's practially 1/4 of year, for goodness sakes!

Scott says:

I think I read somewhere that the internet doubles every 90 days. So, I guess we have 2 blogs now, mathematically. So, I guess its true.

PS When will JJTTC break a Greggo story?

(yawn) I had a blog long before all y'all. Of course, I don't write jack shit on it. But, scoreboard!

I'm not sure I'll read the new blog too much but I like the blogs of the beat writers on dallasnews.com. It's a good place to pick up some info on each of the 4 teams in town.

it can be a blog, a column, a feature, a newsstory, a billboard, a book, a magazine, or a can of spray paint and a wall. wouldn't matter. JenJockTaylor can't write. Plus, when he's on TV, he looks like a black Mini-Me.

A couple of years ago I came up with a blog, had a long introduction to it that I worked on for about an hour.

That was the last post I ever made on it.
