Fridays are just replaying the week. His show is "phoned in" I did not even notice he was gone. Sounds like any other Friday. Dallasnews.com is reporting there was an altercation at a retail store and he was arrested following that altercation. Again, no one but Richies "insider" has mentioned the girlfriend. But by all means, feel free to jump to any and all conclusions. Most people who listened thought greggo was a hick from boyd, not an up-town coke addict.

Here's what I've found:

1. Russ apparently assaulted someone in a "retail store" sometime on Friday morning. The charge is assualt with a deadly weapon with bodily harm. I'm thinking the weapon is his gun, since he has a CHL. But bodily harm? Did he actually shoot somebody? Whoa.

2. Later on, according to some guy on a message board forum (search for russ martin arrest on google and just start clicking the forum links), Russ was at Larry North's gym, working out, when the police (and alledgedly the FBI) came in. Russ seemed to know what they were there for, and asked if they could go outside. The police said no and arrested him right there.

3. According to the Dallas Morning News (i think) story, the assault charge is apparently against his girlfriend, known as "Amy" on the show.

4. On another message board, some guy claimed to have e-mail Dan, who's on the show, asking if it was a bit. Dan said no, affirming that Russ WAS arrested, and that it's not a bit, but he couldn't give any more info. Of course, this might just be made up, but who knows.

5. As several people have pointed out, Russ was very cryptic on Thursday's show about his relationship with Amy. He said that he will know "after this weekend" if he was still going to go ahead with the marriage. Despite everyone on the show trying to get him to talk, he just said that we would all find out on Monday.

Okay, so there's several possibilities. One is that Russ really did assault Amy, with a gun or some sort of weapon, and hurt her. This may be related to the above, and they're going through relationship troubles. But I kinda doubt this. The news story said it happened in a retail store. Seriously? Russ just starts beating up on his woman in a store? Seems kinda far fetched.

There's also the possibility that this is all a bit. But c'mon people: Russ has pulled off bits ON THE AIR before, but I doubt that he would go to all this trouble just for a prank. Seriously, plastering his mug shot all over the news? Making people think he beat up, pistol-whipped, or shot his girlfriend?

I doubt that too. Sure, he's cool with the police and all, but I don't think they'd fake an arrest and go this far just for a bit. Considering that this is in the NEWS, this would have to be one hell of a hoax. And for what?

I'm not sure what to think. I guess we'll all see on Monday, if Russ is even back on then.

I interned for Pugs and Kelly then after that Internship was over, I interned another internship for the JAGGER SHOW...Anyways on March 7th Jaggers Phone Screener Jantzen assaulted me in the break room of the KLLI studios. I called the police and filed a police report and guess what CBS did? They fired me . Because Jagger has a hard on for Jantzen and they covered the whole thing up and pointed the finger of blame at me...Im glad this happened . Every sponsor KLLI loses every cent they lose is a victory for me.

Hello! First, Russ Martin did not assault his girl friend - where's the proof? Second, the man's not stupid by a long shot, and if all your Russ haters truly believe he was dumb enough to assault his girlfriend and get caught, you really are stupid. His bail is low, which means that he did not assault anyone too badly AND they let him out, so they don't see him as a threat to the person he assaulted.

More then likely he knocked someone over the head at the gym during an argument (maybe they insulted his show? Or his girlfriend?). Those barbells could certainly be considered a deadly weapon. Then again, if he's had an martial arts training, his hands are considered deadly weapons. See how many possibilities there really are?

The police do not have arrest warrants for an incident when responding to criminal activities in progress. It takes a several hours to obtain an arrest warrant. Must get witness, victim and perps statements regarding the incident. Must type up the warrant and then hunt down a judge to review the warrant to acertain if all facts are there to support the warrant and then sign it. Takes several hours.

He had his program director (Gavin) pulled over 3 times by 3 different cities on the way to the airport for a Stanley Cup game. He probably is taking Friday and Monday off because him and Amy got married this weekend and it's just a bit so they can play out a 'public' wedding for listeners etc later on.
