Are You a Sweet Transvestite? Could You Play One in a Musical?

We've got the most exciting news you'll hear all day. Have you ever wondered how you were going to channel your love of Rocky Horror into a something worthwhile? Have you ever fancied yourself an undiscovered Broadway star? The Dallas Theater Center is looking for you.

Today DTC announced that for its upcoming production of The Rocky Horror Show they are looking for, "Gender-benders, the glamorously tattooed, sword and fire swallowers, snake charmers, the unique, the bizarre, the unorthodox, the oh-my-goodness-I-can't-believe-they-just-did-that-performer and anybody who has ever dreamt of being set decoration in a production of The Rocky Horror Show."

Technically you won't have any lines and you won't make any sweet cash, but if you're looking for a post-work activity or want your 15 minutes of cult fame, the theater center is going to post up at the Rose Room from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, July 26 for an opening casting call.

If you suffer from stage fright but don't want to miss out on the freaky fun? Guests and onlookers are invited. And if your next question is, "should I dress up?" By god, yes.

Here's the fine print:

"The Rocky Horror Show director and choreographer Joel Ferrell is looking to enhance the set of DTC's upcoming production with a few living decorations. Think you have a look or a talent that's over-the-top enough? Then we want to see you at the Open Call.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow time to fill out a short form and scope out the competition. Music will be provided. We will not accept song requests or audio files to play with an audition. Props, however, are highly encouraged. Participants will have one minute to wow Joel (and the audience) before we move on to the next bit of crazy.

Fifty (50) audition slots will be available for early reservation. If you'd like to skip the rush and reserve one of these slots, please email Laura Colleluori at LauraColleluori@DallasTheaterCenter.org. Please include your name, age, phone number and a brief description of your talent or look in your request for one of these slots. You will receive an email confirmation prior to the event if you were able to secure a reserved audition slot. An audition signup sheet will be available at 3p at the Open Call. Participants who sign up at the event will be able to audition on a first come, first served basis.

WHEN: Saturday, July 26, 3:00 - 6:00p
Doors open at 3:00p
First call at 3:30p

WHERE: The Rose Room Dallas
3911 Cedar Springs Rd
Dallas, TX 75219"

I'm a soft, meek and ever-so-sweet, sometimes lisping, often limp-wristed, mincing, swishing, hopelessly indulgent, extremely effeminate sissy transvestite weakling with long hair and a girlish face who plays harmonica while riding a unicycle (often attired as a Vegas Showgirl), cannot stay out of and totally lives for women's clothing. I would be tickled perfumed pearlescent pastel pink to grace Texas with my over-the-top, uber-feminized California sissyness but..I have to work.
