Art Everywhere US

You can't vote for Picasso's Guernica or Marc Chagall's floating lovers in Art Everywhere US. But if you want to see a billboard come to life with a painting by Edward Hopper, Andy Warhol, or Mark Rothko, you have until May 7 to vote for Nighthawks, or my favorite, Joseph Stella's The Brooklyn Bridge: Variation on an Old Theme.

For this expansive art show, the Dallas Museum of Art teams up with four museums across the country with the goal of installing works of art by American artists in 50 public spaces, including billboards, bus shelters and subway posters, throughout the states. They're handing the curatorial reins to online voters, so you better get voting. This might be the only art exhibit you ever curate.

Voters can select up to 10 favorite pieces daily at arteverywhereus.org through May 7. Then, the 50 finalists will be on display during the month of August. Vote now, vote often.
