Rawr. Ms. Schumer is here Friday at the House of Blues.
Every week we highlight the best comedy of the coming weekend. Find more comedy events at dallasobserver.com/calendar.

Amy Schumer at the House of Blues
Schumer is the creator, star and writer of Inside Amy Schumer, her Comedy Central TV show that premiered last month. You've seen her roast some of the best on Comedy Central, including Roseanne and Charlie Sheen, and she's also appeared on The Howard Stern Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Tickets are available online.

Caroline Picard at Hyena's in Dallas
Caroline Picard and her signature red boots are here to kick comedy ass this Thursday through Saturday. Picard never holds back, and we're glad. Everybody's fair game, including today's youth. You ever watch a kid working the cash register try to make change nowadays? It'll fuck 'em up. Try giving a teenager cash and watch what happens. And what about hot flashes? She's from Texas -- how was she supposed to know she was havin' one? She didn't find out she'd hit menopause until she went to Michigan and the snow was melting around her. She was hot and pissed. So basically, Texan.

Godfrey at the Arlington Improv
Blending in with bums at 2 in the morning is an essential lesson for any city dweller. Godfrey's advice? Dance Thriller style. They'll never tell you apart. As for public transportation? Watch out for men during rush hour -- they're all pigs, pushing through the crowds with their pelvises. Hey, it's crowded, right? Godfrey's appeared on BET, VH1, Comedy Central, and feature films, such as Original Gangstas, Zoolander, and Johnson Family Vacation. He'll be here this Thursday through Sunday.

John Witherspoon at the Addison Improv
You probably remember John Witherspoon as Ice Cube's dog-catching dad in the urban trilogy Friday, Next Friday and Friday After Next, or as "Pops" on the long-running sitcom The Wayans Brothers. For good reason, he's become one of America's funniest dads. Witherspoon and his bow tie will be here this Thursday through Sunday to rant about everything from getting hit in the head with a billy stick during the Civil Rights movement (when the National Guard tells you to move, you'd better move) to traveling with young Def Jam comedians (he's never been more fucked up in his life).

Whose Live Anyway? at the Majestic Theater
If you were at all cool about a decade ago, you watched Whose Line is it Anyway?, one of the only shows on TV that was worth a view. So what could be better than that? Try a 90-minute, live version of the show. Join stars Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff Davis and Chip Esten for an hour and a half of completely improvised comedy and songs based on audience suggestions. And be ready to join the guys on stage -- you never know who they'll pick. They'll be here this Saturday. Tickets are available online.
