23 Awesome Things to Do in Dallas on St. Patrick's Day Weekend, March 14 to 17

Snoop Dogg Lion Muppet Honey Badger headlines our St. Patrick's Day Party this Saturday! Gin? Check. Juice? Check. Bailey's? Yep, got that too.

Carb up like you have a big swim meet this weekend, Dallas. The next four days are not for the faint of heart, belly or liver. There's a Sasquatch Convention in Fort Worth, a drag disco cabaret in Addison, wine spilling all over Savor Dallas and of course, two days of St. Paddy's mayhem. Share this list with your Doggpound and click on the event titles for more information. I'll see you out there. (I'll be the one passing you that left-handed cigarette during Snoop. JUST KIDDING AUTHORITIES: THAT'S SOMEONE ELSE.)

Thursday 3.14
The Morning After Show at Out of the Loop Fest -- Described as an "irreverent cabaret salute to disco, drag, and glory," this must-see act features original songs like "Straight Girl in the Corner," "The Swelling's Gone Down," and "B.Y.O.B.G.Y.N." Just to sweeten the deal, know that it was directed by our own Clayton Farris. You get four chances to see it this weekend, so go to all of 'em.

Savor Dallas Kicks Off -- It's a solid four days of food and wine and more food at Savor Dallas, which adds additional place settings at new venues this year. Join in the gluttony.

Half-Price Admission at the Nasher
-- Our friends at the Nasher are looking out for you and your crew this week by charging half-rate admission during Spring Break. (Read: This is your chance to see that amazing Ken Price exhibition for cheap!)

Friday 3.15
Texas Pinball Festival -- Pinball addicts, this one's for us. This annual celebration of ramps and lights has moved to Dallas proper this year for its three-day celebration. That means if you buy a wristband you can just pop in and out without making a big journey out of it. Also, we're doing a ticket giveaway on our blog. Check it out here.

Prix de 1814 Magazine Party -- As tools like Instagram and photo editing software become natural parts of our daily life, it's easy to believe that we're all photographers. But stepping into an all photo art show is a great way to remind yourself that it is, in fact, a highly learned skill mastered by few. See that here: it's taking place at 2650 Main St. in Deep Ellum.

Sugar Does America Tour -- It's equal parts crafty celebration and booty shake down and it's happening at Quixotic World. Go see what your friends and neighbors have been making and indulge in some dance shopping.

Late Nights in the Arts District: Spring Break Edition
-- This monthly celebration of art for cheapskates gets even more enticing on Friday night as the Nasher pulls down the outdoor screen and shows The Fantastic Mr. Fox free of charge. There's also live music, activities and smaller celebrations detonating throughout the Crow, DMA and Nasher. It's free.

Saturday 3.16
The 12th Annual Bigfoot Conference -- If you watched Harry and the Hendersons and thought "Wow, documentaries are awesome," then this is the conference for you. It's an intensive look at our favorite illusive, powerline-chasing, rock-throwing furball. Leaders of Sasquatch science will lecture.
