D.L. Hughley -- the only celebrity more famous for his hair than Jennifer Aniston.
Every Thursday we highlight the best comedy of the coming weekend. Find more comedy events at dallasobserver.com/calendar.

D.L. Hughley at the Addison Improv
The star of The Hughleys and one of the four comedians featured in the Spike Lee film The Original Kings of Comedy, D.L. Hughley is a household name, and for good reason. The comic's had his own HBO special, Unapologetic, and he'll be in Addison this Friday through Sunday to rag on everything the news can spit out. No politician or front-page issue is safe from this CNN comedy correspondant.

David Huntsberger and Friends at the Dallas Comedy House
David Huntsberger, the sci-fi-loving comedian from Reno, Nevada, will be here with his friends Bryan Gutmann, Clint Werth, and Dave Little. Huntsberger, the co-star of the Professor Blastoff Podcast, spends quite a bit of time examining his own existence. And what better place to do that than on a comedy stage? Gutmann will call you out if you take pictures with your iPad (you've been warned), Werth was named Best Comedian of 2012 by the Dallas Observer for his raunchy act, and Little is a hilarious stand-up comedian, improvisor and songwriter in one. The quartet will be here this Thursday only.

Neil Hamburger and Tim Heidecker at the Texas Theatre
Take some chalk, make a line on the ground, and sit back in wait for Neil Hamburger and Tim Heidecker to come cross it. Hamburger bewilders audiences with his question and answer routine, a crass collection of punch lines and throat clearing aimed at celebrities and his unfortunate ex-wife. Heidecker, of the cult favorite Tim and Eric, creates mind-bending comedy videos with some of today biggest names (think Paul Rudd, John C. Reilly, and Zach Galifianakis) and is still searching for his clothes -- they magically disappeared at the turn of the year. Maybe someone is trying to tell him something. Wink wink. Hey, he's no stranger to awkwardness. They'll be here Friday.

Mike Winfield at Hyena's in Fort Worth
Mike Winfield, a comic you'll swear is living your life after hearing his stand up, just landed a reoccurring role on NBC's The Office. So maybe his life is a little better. The Baltimore native has been on Showtime's Comics Without Borders and Comedy Central's Live at Gotham. Here this Friday and Saturday, this is one up and comer you should check out. Just make sure you've had a good night's sleep.

Darren Carter at the Arlington Improv
Darren Carter hits the stage running, or even dancing, in a flurry of improv, social observations, and commentary on the everyday. He's never scared to make fun of his freckled, red-headed self, probably because he performs at Snoop Dogg's family reunion. Yep, you read that right. The rapper caught Carter's dead-on impersonation and invited him over. Now that's gangsta. He'll be here Thursday through Saturday. 21 and up only.

Comedians are Godless beings. I saw this one comedian, Larry something, I just wanted to hug and tell him that God has a plan for him. It's not comedy.
