Joey Edmonds Presents
The birthday boy!
Every Thursday we highlight the best comedy of the coming weekend. Find more comedy events at dallasobserver.com/calendar.

LOL! at the House of Blues
Local comedy stalwart Paul Varghese will be celebrating his birthday on Saturday in the best way possible -- a show featuring some of DFW's hottest comics all on one night. Recently named Funniest Comic in Texas, Aaron Aryanpur will be on hand for hosting duties. Performers include Anthony Perez, Cris Lehman, Tyson Faifer, and more. Lock in your tickets now. 21 and up only.

Yager Park at the Dallas Comedy House
Tabitha Parker and Tim Yager, both of Four Day Weekend, iO, and The Annoyance, are back with their highly anticipated comedy show this Thursday. Based on the two-person show they created in Chicago, Yager Park was standing room only the last time this duo showed up. Special guests are Zachary Muhn and Tyler Via. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. Only $5.

Ralph Harris at the Arlington Improv
Star of his very own HBO Comedy Half Hour, Harris has been on the small screen in Seinfeld, In Living Color, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and more, and he's been in the movies Dreamgirls and Evan Almighty. Always desperately trying to keep a relationship going, we'd like to wish him smooth sailing, but for our sakes, we can't. He'll be here Thursday through Sunday.

Paul Mooney at the Addison Imrpov
Known for his jaw-dropping act, Mooney never shies from the controversial. All the better. Whether he's slamming white America or shaming Betsy Ross (yes, flag-maker Betsy Ross), you'd better have a thick skin to see Mooney. Here this Thursday through Sunday, come prepared.

Ben Creed at Hyena's in Dallas
Invited to appear in Comedy's Dirtiest Dozen along with Jim Carrey and Tim Allen, this guy's guy from New York takes his anger and turns it into laughter -- for you, that is. Come hear how he's spent a night in an urban ER but is still afraid to fly. He'll be in Dallas Thursday through Saturday.
