Joan Rivers, Ira Glass, David Sedaris and More Fill Out AT&T Center's New Season
The AT&T Center has released its programming schedule for the upcoming 2012-13 season, and you're in for it. 
Entertainment legends Lily Tomlin (Sunday, February 10) and Joan Rivers (March 10) have both been booked to appear at the Winspear, and so has most of the weekend cast of NPR.
Tomlin, who will always have a spot in our hearts for her one-woman performance of Jane Wagner's Search For Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, has not grown passive with age. She's monopolized her off-beat wit through films like I Heart Huckabees, 9 to 5, and The Incredible Shrinking Woman, and has maintained a heavy booking schedule of lectures and television appearances. But on March 10th, you'll get to catch up with the former Laugh-In star as she engages the audience in an evening of chat. Tickets start at $35, and will go on sale on Friday, the 14th.
Rivers, who seems to be everywhere these days, is just as delightfully raunchy as ever. And her cameo performance in Season Two of Louie, was proof that this broad doesn't only still have it, but that everyone else still wants it. You can get it beginning Friday. Tickets start at $37.50.
National Public Radio brings its biggest verbal guns to town this season, sans that Prairie Home fella, with Sedaris (David, not Amy), Ira Glass, and the quiz show for the impossibly nerdy (and fans of Paula Poundstone's vests), Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me.
Don't Tell Me! is much more than just a radio quiz show for wonks; it's a chance to win Carl Kasell's voice on your home answering machine. On February 7, 2013, you'll get to see how the magic is brewed in-house as Peter Sagal and friends pick apart the week's news with colorful quips. Tickets and prices posted "soon," according to press materials.
Humorist David Sedaris gets here next, with touchdown scheduled for April 23. His shows are rich anecdotal blends of diary entries, reading recommendations, celebrity encounters and off-kilter thoughts about life. Also, they're hilarious. We'll let you know when tickets sales are scheduled. This event is part of the Arts and Letters Live series.

Rounding out the NPR trifecta is This American Life's bespectacled nasally narrator, Ira Glass. He'll be in Dallas on June 1st with a lecture titled "Reinventing Radio." It's a steal of a ticket, priced to start at $25. Grab one this Friday.
