Nora Ephron, 1941-2012

By now, most every paper that matters has thoroughly and appropriately eulogized feminist journalist and funny-woman, Nora Ephron, who died Tuesday evening at the age of 71. In fact, our even trying to characterize her life as beautifully or as intimately as The New York Times or The Atlantic -- to name a few -- would be disingenuous at best.

But, as a writer and journalist, cultural critic and social satirist, Ms. Ephron pioneered the American public sphere in a fierce, but wry, manner, unmatched by so many of us before and following. We owe a debt of gratitude and respect. In lieu of a biography or traditional obituary, here is a link to many of her articles for The New York Times, The Huffington Post and NPR, as well as reviews for her films and books.

Silkwood, 1983

When Harry Met Sally, 1989

Sleepless in Seattle, 1993

Julie and Julia, 2009
