The Mixmaster's panel on the (2015) Quilt

Today is World AIDS Day and just one of the ways we're observing the 30th anniversary of AIDS -- an issue important to many of us here at the Mixmaster, in the Dallas arts community, and, of course, everywhere -- is creating our own little panel on the digital (2015) Quilt, sponsored by One and (Red).

The project not only calls back to the original 1987 Names Project Foundation quilt memorializing those lost to AIDS, but also supports a mission to drastically reduce the number of babies who are born with HIV by 2015. To join us on the quilt and create your own panel, visit

Will you be observing World AIDS Day? Let us know how in the comments.

Next week, on December 6, Dallas will host it's own dynamic observation of the 30th anniversary in A Gathering at Winspear. Read more about preparations for that show, which will feature a dozen arts organizations and more than 100 performers, here. For Gathering tickets and info, click here.
